Laptops can be so expensive to buy new. I wanted a used one, primarily for its low cost but also because there is a lot of electronic waste going into landfill.
I paid £179 for this 4 year old laptop. It had a small dent in the front of the casing, a few scratches here and there and it came preloaded with Win 10.
The dent doesn’t worry me, and the only issue was that it came with an underpowered PSU which had a tendency to get hot. I contacted the seller and within a few days I had the larger 90watt charger which doesn’t overheat.
The laptop works perfectly for me. It’s not compatible with Win11, but I really don’t care. Win10 is all I need.
An older laptop with a new lease of life, it’s definitely the way to go when buying tech.

I ordered this as 1st laptop for my 10yr child to enjoy some gaming and learning windows obviously appearance matters to them as well. . It came with scratches and broken f4 key on the keyboard, plastic casing is worn out and charger is worn out and old socket along with a converter connection.
There is a reason for cheap price. It might be good for uni students who are on budget and aim getting projects done but my Kid was not happy and I return it. The return costed £16 and they payed me back £10 +2.99 goodwill 😂

I have not used the refurbished site before so ordering the EliteBook was really a hopeful purchase. I shouldn’t have worried about it though. It arrived within 24 hours, plain box as expected. The internal packaging was really good, an inflated sleeve which was perfect for transport. I inspected the Laptop really carefully and I couldn’t find a single mark on it, it started up really fast and the screen was blemish free. Quick startup and initial setup took a little while but once done it worked perfectly. Installed the stuff I wanted on there and is running brilliantly. I will definitely go back to the refurbished site again if I need to buy any more tech.
No manuals or CD with it but I didn’t really expect them to be there. All in all a hugely positive experience.

I made the mistake of purchasing a renewed laptop from this seller, the
1st laptop I got they did a horrible temp fix of hiding the scratches and dents by placing a vinyl and keys were not working and it was overheating hence preforming horrible. Got a replacement swiftly I should give credit to that but this time same minor scratches (it was fine) but laptop was overheating since there was so much muck in the fins. Decided to get a refund and did I learn from my last mistake ?? NO!!
Bought a diff model without realising it’s from ge same seller and here we are with the same issues as the previous. But this time Amazon is delaying my bloody refund and I’m forced to purchase from Amazon since they will be issuing Amazon credit only and it’s been more than 2.5 weeks delayed for the refund since the return. How is Amazon monitoring these let downs ?? Are we at fault since we need a decent preforming laptop regardless of few scratches etc. for the price range?? This comment will be striked out saying this is not the fault if the seller but Amazon fulfillment so I’ll save you the trouble in this pending disaster.. to the seller: please revaluate your Quality checks before shipping out goods without wasting time, you were super helpful in returns and refund but this doesn’t solve anything

Looks and performs like new but significantly cheaper. Only a couple of things to note/criticise. There is no indication when you charge the laptop to either advise it is charging or has been fully charged, there is no handbook and as of yet have not found out if the LED lights on lower bott section work or not as I don’t know what they should indicate

It always feels a bit of a risk buying refurbs as I have had software and hardware issues with desktop devices I have bought in the past.
But I am really pleased with this laptop. Good spec. Plenty of power. Not excessively worn.
Couple of odities. The item arrived with a grey sticker covering the lid of the laptop. It was a good colour and size match for the device but was peeling up at the corner and would not last so i pulled it off. There were a couple of scuff marks on the original lid casing but it certainly does not look bad.
In my view it looked a lot better without the sticker.
The keys have been lasered or something to ensure they are UK layout complaint.
This sounds dodgy but really isnt. It is very hard to even tell it has been done.
Keys look like they will wear well without any icons peeling off. I guess the laptop came in from another country but it types perfectly and is fully uk compliant.
Battery life is also very good.
Back lit keys work well.
Screen is blemish free.
Software is as it should be.
Everything runs smoothly.
I therefore do recommend buying this item.
You get a powerful device that does not look dated or overly worn.
Had I bought this spec device new it would have cost twice as much.
Hopefully I will get a few years out of it before it gets too old.
