Long lasting and amazing quality for price!
I was a little wary due to the lower end price, but this laptop has been nothing but amazing! I have had it for almost 2 years now. I did immediately buy and install an extra storage drive for it due to the reviews recommending to do so, and it has run incredibly smoothly with no issues since then. There is zero lag and it has many smart features that make the experience so much simpler. I would HIGHLY recommend if you are in need of a Windows based laptop for college or daily use.

Yes! Love Acer!
I have been using ACER as my personal, at home laptop for years. Its actually the only laptop Ive ever bought for myself. Acer is the best in my opinion. I’ve had this one for about a year now and have had NO issues with it. The battery is great. The sound is great. The view is great. This was a lower-priced laptop that works excellent!! Im not a gamer, so I cant speak on that behalf. I use my laptop to mostly surf the web, read articles, watch youtube, social media, netflix. Its great!! No problems or complaints whatsoever. This was my first time ordering a computer on amazon and i was worried about the shipping and the laptop getting knocked around, but it was ok – no issues. 10/10 would recommend buying this.
Also, I want to add this section of feedback for acer – I have been using Acer for over 10 years. Every single acer laptop reaches the point that it wont charge anymore. Usually I can buy a new charger and get a few more months out of it and then the port to plug the charger in blows so that it wont charge at all. This seems to be around the 2nd-3rd year mark for me. Im leaving this note for Acer to maybe fix this issue? Other than that, my laptops have run until the wheels fall off.

Excellent value for money!
nothing to dislike!
I installed another 8GB of DDR4 (total is now 12GB) and changed the M2 2280 SSD to a 1TB and this laptop is excellent value for money.
I also did a clean install of WIN11.
Does everything one would need at home for the average joe/jane, & basic duties at the workplace (MS Office, email, video conferencing etc)

Great VALUE. Easy to Upgrade. Simple, & Quick. Very Happy
Overall: Great VALUE. Easy to Upgrade. Simple, & Quick. Very Happy
Pros: Quick. Easy. Cheap. Performant.
Cons: None yet (only 3-4 days in)
– Not a touchscreen as others have commented
Details:
Very happy with this great deal. It’s not meant to be a gaming laptop and it’s not. But if you read a few reviews its TOP notch value.
I bought and immediately:
1) Disabled Windows S mode which is FREE to do and takes < 5 minutes after googling and
2) Upgraded memory to the below to add an additional 16 GB. This was takes about 15-25 minutes end 2 end including watching a YouTube video on how to do. 16GB may have been too much and an additional 4 or 8 on top of the soldered in 4 GB probably would have been enough.
Purchased DDR4 RAM: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YNF3KY4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Overall, highly recommend for a quick, cheap, and performant laptop! I don’t expect it to last forever, or game, or crunch heavy data – but I’m not using it for those things.
If you want to navigate the web with many tabs open, watch Netflix, write documents, or crunch simple / medium spreadsheets you’ll be fine with this.
Again, only a few days in so unsure how quality will last. But happy for now!

Great Quality
I got the Acer Aspire 5 A515-46-R3UB when it was on sale for less than three hundred and fifty. I couldn’t be happier with the value of this purchase. This laptop has excellent build quality, a quiet backlit keyboard, speedy processor, tons of ports, lovely 15.6″ monitor, and more. It has been reviewed to death so there’s not a whole lot more to say that hasn’t already been put out there. Suffice to say that for a budget laptop, it rocks.
It’s not perfect. You can’t really do any serious gaming on it if that’s your thing. The speakers are decent but don’t get very loud. Battery life is just okay. And, uh, …that’s about it. It really is a good laptop. For web browsing, office work, videos, and general use, it is great. I wish there were more than 4MG RAM and a 128GB SSD included, but for the price and way I use it, it works! I recently got another lappy from a no name brand that was $350 and isn’t on the same level as the Acer. I’m very happy I got it.

Great budget laptop
Great laptop for the price, I don’t think you can find a laptop this great at this price point. Appearance looks great, great build quality, keyboard does not at all feel cheap at all and the keyboard backlight is a great touch. Very lightweight. Touch pad is large and responsive. I have not tried the fingerprint scanner yet. Decently fast boot up times given it has an SSD. Battery life is actually pretty great, too. I am happy with the ports, it even has a USB C port. Screen gets very bright.
It also took about 5 minutes to put in an 8GB ram stick in the easily accessible and open ram slot.
Some cons of course since this is a budget laptop (these cons can be considered “normal” at this price point):
– Full HD display with 1080P screen, however the color quality, especially blacks and other colors is not great. It feels like white is overwhelming compared to other colors. But otherwise at this price point it is OK in my opinion, just that there is a very noticeable difference compared to my 700 dollar laptop.
– CPU kind of sucks. I added 8 GB of ram which did make the computer faster, but downloading things or loading times can be slow with the CPU being the issue. However it is tolerable and I am overall happy with the speed for this price point and do not feel I have to crutch on my other high end laptops.
– The acer 5 series is usually marketed as “slim”, but this laptop is definitely not slim. It isn’t bulky though, I think it is very average or more in thickness compared to actual slim laptops on the market.
If you have 330 dollars only to spend and are on a tight budget, don’t hesitate to get this laptop. If you do purchase this laptop, I would DEFINITELY recommend adding additional ram (I got 8GB ram for 25 bucks at microcenter) since it is super easy to upgrade the ram in this computer, and it made a noticeable difference in browsing, loading, scroll speeds. If you have an additional 100 dollars more to spend, I would go ahead and purchase a more expensive laptop for a better screen, and the next price-tier laptops usually have additional ram.

What a trooper
This laptop was unfortunate enough to be bought by a gamer, and yet it’s still standing, rage quit fueled keyboard smashes and all. I’m surprised how much abuse this thing has taken but come out completely unscathed. It’s a really nice little computer, it just gets a little whiny when you try to put Sims 4 (with tons of expansion packs on it) but it runs Goat Simulator, Untitled Goose Game, Robocraft, Undertale, Doki Doki Literature Club, etc. without any issues. I have not tried World of Warcraft, League of Legends, Valorant, Overwatch, or Minecraft on this, so you’ll have to test it out yourself. I have no complaints about this laptop, it’s now somehow my school computer AND a bit of a gaming laptop. I’ve taken it everywhere, even to the hospital. The speakers are great, it doesn’t heat up quickly or that bad, the fan doesn’t overwork itself, the memory is nice and spacious, it’s very fast when loading anything, especially while booting up, and I’m even writing this review on it. The keyboard is nice and thin but not too thin. It’s definitely worth the money, even more imo. There is a built-in camera, and it’s not that bad. Oh, and the audio quality is apparently *chef’s kiss* according to the boys on discord. It runs discord beautifully, btw. Screensharing is easy with this computer. I couldn’t get OBS to run very smoothly on this laptop, so I’ll have to troubleshoot that. Otherwise, this is probably THE perfect laptop. 98/10, genuinely. This computer has become a vital part of my life, it’s basically another one of my internal organs at this point. I’d buy several of these. Why several? I don’t know, it’s just that good of a computer, I guess. *shrug*

PROCESSOR is 2.1GHZ only and not 2.4GHZ!
PROCESSOR is 2.1GHZ only and not 2.4GHZ as advertised! Also it is a pain to connect the additonal HD to the motherboard by lifting the wifi card. I did appr. 15 times to get it recognised.
Another thing which they have not mentioned is that -even though it is coming from amazon US it is MADE IN CHINA![while ordering i thought it is a US product]
Except these it is so far a “good deal” once you do an upgrade of RAM and storage [and windows S mode removal]

Great value
First of all, stay away from those Intel Celeron or AMD equivalent cheap laptops as they will never give you the best experience.
This laptop has a Ryzen 3 CPU with vega graphics which makes it enough to run everyday tasks. Applications run smooth like butter. The feel of the touchpad on this is something else. The keyboard is clickly and feels nice too. The only downside in this laptop is the soldered memory (4GB DDR4), with only one avilable slot to expand, which means dual-channel mode is out the window. It’s still recommended to upgrade the memory as 4GB is barebone to run the operating system. The memory requires 260-pin module with 2400 MHz as this is the maximum clock speed the laptop can handle. SSD drive can be swapped out for more capacity, with an additional space for 2.5 inch for mass storage.
All in all, one of the best deals out there.
