Amazing but returned to overheating.
This laptop packs a punch and can run almost anything with high FPS on high to ultra settings. It’s a good PC and just at the sweet spot of being bigger than 15′ and not as massive as a 17′. High quality.
Unfortunately, I had to return this laptop because it overheated constantly. The fan system does not turn on unless I manually set it to max manually. Temperatures could reach 92 Celsius with an external cooling pad in 10 minutes! I think my laptop was a lemon but I will probably reorder this same one and hope for the best at a later date.

Black friday is a scam, good laptop tho
I’m happy with the laptop, just upset it was $100 cheaper a week after I bought it on a black friday sale. The price dropped before it was even delivered to me. Amazon doesn’t price match and my only other option is to order a new one and return the one I got. Not worth the trouble, I should of just gone with the i9/rtx4080 so I knew and could accept I was overpaying

Reason I gave it 3 stars is because the seller doesn’t have up the fully right description lol, some stuff is from the Helios version.
Let’s start: it came with a 1TB & I added a 2TB nve. I also added 64gb of memory (RAM) DDR5. It says max is 32 but it’s not. I use this laptop to play games and do video and photo editing and it’s been great. I hooked it up to two 2K 165hz curved monitors and it gives out great quality, you’ll only get it on 1 monitor because that’s how windows is lol but that’s fine for me. Battery life? I always have it plug in while games so I can’t say much. Fan isn’t that loud but it could be because I alway have on my headphones but overall I’m happy with my purchase.

Disappointed Known Power Issues
Since I bought this laptop black friday 2023, I’ve had 2 consistent problems that appear online (seems to be a reoccuring problem) and it’s the following: laptop will not display from off unless the charger is connected and if I use the sleep function rather than shut down there’s no way to get it to power back on the display. Honestly with how many other people with the Helios 16 and other acer products have this issue its pretty dissapointing given the price tag.

I was going to purchase a Macbook Pro…
After a lot of research, I chose to go with this gaming computer. I am a full-time college student and professional photographer. I needed something fast, and with great quality and clarity. This company shipped super-fast, and I had the computer within a day. I would also like to note that this computer speed is exceptional, as well as its color and clarity. I was going to purchase a Macbook Pro, though, I am not sure it’s entirely necessary at this point! I’m giving this a 10/10!!!! Seriously, it might have just changed my mind about IOS.

WoW Player Here – Excellent Bang for Your Buck
TLDR; This is an excellent machine for the money if you are an MMORPG player. No regrets about buying this one. It’s a keeper.
I recently got back into World of Warcraft after many years away and my old laptop just couldn’t keep up. I started looking around at laptops capable of WoW gaming and actually tried out an MSI Stealth for a couple of weeks. It was a pretty laptop and lightweight, but man it struggled to keep up just being in a main city. Then I had a battery issue with it and decided to shop around instead of sending my brand new laptop in for work.
How I use it: Play WoW, I use it for my side gig (AI Chatbots) and general doom scrolling. I don’t overclock or do anything fancy to try to squeeze more out of my machine, other than minor upgrades and settings tweaks.
I looked at a ton of laptops and combos of specs and finally thought I’d give this one a try. It had slightly better specs than the MSI at around the same price. This laptop is awesome. It never struggles to keep up at. I haven’t done any raids yet so I don’t know how it will perform in that situation but I will update once I know.
Pros: performs beautifully playing World of Warcaft. Fan almost never needs to kick in, yet it also doesn’t get that hot.
Cons:
Size/weight: this thing is heavy and huge. It packs a punch but you sacrifice portability. Yes it’s a 16″ laptop but I hadn’t imagined just how big and heavy it would be. I have a 16″ laptop for work and this is far heavier. It feels well made though. Yes you can still carry it around, but you won’t want to much. I mostly keep it at home anyway so that’s not a deal breaker for me.
Battery life: yeah, it’s pretty bad. I’ve been on battery power for almost an hour on “eco-mode” and it’s down 15%. The power brick is also huge, so if you are communiting or traveling with this often, the weight and size of the computer with brick is going to be a drag.
RAM limited to 32gb: I’m suprised such a big and powerful laptop can only take up to 32gb of ram. I have not yet upgraded my RAM yet because it’s performed so well so far. I do have 32gb on hand and plan to upgrade anyway. But seeing how well it’s performed so far, not having 64gb might not be an issue at all.
Can’t (yet) figure out how to wake from sleep with bluetooth keyboard/mouse. I have changed every possible setting under the sun, including tweaking the BIOS and it still doesn’t wake on bluetooth mouse/keyboard. That’s annoying. I have a really small desk that houses to 27″ monitors and two laptops. I keep the laptops in a vertical stand which saves me tons of space, but it’s super annoying to have to pull this thing out, open it up and wake it up.
