Bought this because of the fast processor, good memory and lightweight. So far very happy with it. Even undated to Win 11 without issue.
Only negative is that Windows Explorer showed it only had half a terabyte not the 1 TB as advertised. Amazon gave me a partial refund so when yours arrives, check the disk space and return in not as described

Bought to allow me to sit comfortable whilst still using a computer. The description that the keyboard lit up actually attracted me… I believed this meant the keys were lit up but it DOES NOT. The light is under the keys and in darkness just throws shadows around a keyboard that is already impossible to read. In daylight it is impossible to see the keys. – luckily I was taught to touch type which means that if I can place hands in correct line I don’t need to see the keys. Would sell but for the money everything else is good. A separate monitor for the photographs is used.

I can’t recomend this laptop as it only lasted 14 weeks. I first noticed a problem when I tried to switch it on and it wouldn’t. It turned out the be a flat battery.
I didn’t find out the cause of the flat battery until it came to shutting the laptop down. It didn’t power off, left it for half an hour, still powered on. I had to force it to shut down by holding the power button down till powered off.
I tried updating Windows and drivers, could not find a solution on the forms. So I reset Windows back to factory setting but the laptop still refused to power off. This was not what I expected from an £800 laptop. The overall build quality of didn’t feel up to the standard of my 10 year old Samsung laptop.
The Asus laptop continued to get worse, displaying error when logging in, then eventually it would not load Windows and went to Windows Repair. The repair utility failed to fix the problem then would only display BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death). When I Googled the error code it said the probible cause was a CPU hardware issue.
A repair was offered, but I had no confidence in the Asus brand and got a refund. I now have another Samsung laptop and it seems much better so far.

After slogging away with my old dinosaur of a computer for over 10 years, I finally bit the bullet and ordered this new one. It was easy to install the things I needed from my old computer, and is incredibly fast. I am sure it will last as long as my old one :>)
I was a little concerned that it was reduced in price due to it’s packaging condition however, it arrived looking perfect and hasn’t been an issue at all.
The only reason I didn’t score the battery as five stars is because I haven’t had it long enough to see it perform over time, but will update this as necessary.
I would recommend it to anyone who is ready for a fast upgrade. Very pleased.

I have it for 2 weeks and so far very pleased with it’s performance. Fast enough for my needs had great quality camera and audio for video conferences and it’s light enough to carry around.
Amazon advertised its processor speed as 4.7GHz but it’s actually 2.8GHz.

Under £700 for an i7 laptop with 16Gb of ram and a 1Tb SSD is really good. Came with windows 10, but that’s now upgraded to windows 11, which it’s compatible with, and was a trouble free upgrade.
Overall, I’m super happy with it, and the only minor quibbles I have aren’t enough to stop it being a five star product for me.
The downsides: the sound isn’t super loud. With the default media player, I was struggling to hear TV shows. The speaker is underneath, and is easily blocked, and even without that it’s quiet. Switch to something like VLC player to get a volume boost, but it’s not got impressive inbuilt speakers.
The keyboard backlight is white on silver keys, so it is basically no help in actually seeing the keys. Black keys or a different colour backlight would help with this, but if I weren’t a touch typist, I’d be having to move position to see which keys were which.
There’s the only quibbles I have, and they’re minor. I’m using this to play modded minecraft with 200 mods, and AAA game titles, and it’s handling everything without breaking stride.

I have been a loyal Asus user for over a decade, and I believe this is a good product – I am a designer and this is very well for working with design software. The only downside I have noticed relates to its screen quality. When viewing high-definition movies or videos, the blacks and colours appear pixelated. I would still recommend it.

This is an amazing laptop, press the on/off switch, and it’s ready to use!
Screen & sound quality really nice, and backlit keyboard is great if you want to type in the dark, but can be more difficult to see when it’s light – also, I wish they’d left the numbers keypad buttons where you’d find them on other computers, as it’s quite difficult to get used to where + and – keys are, because other computers seem to have them in a standard place, but they’ve been moved on this one, so easy to get caught out when trying to type anything quickly.
However, that’s my one and only gripe – other than this, it’s excellent in every way.
If they were going to improve it, I’d like to see the numeric keypad back to the ‘usual’ format (that all the others seem to use as a standard), and possibly the inclusion of an SD card slot, but I’m being really picky if anything!
Would I recommend?: Definitely yes
