It is a nice product but had a few challenges trying to set it up as its a bit complicated for a person my age as it taking me long to get acustomed to it and to set it up but hopefully I will get there eventually

I bought it for my wife in November 2023. She’s a light user. She mainly does browsing that involves 30-40 tabs on chrome, with some playlist or some movie playing on VLC. This computer is easily handling it which is enough for me at this price point. It’s very light weight so easy to carry with you. Speakers are not loud enough. I gave her a Bluetooth speaker. That easily solved the problem. Battery backup is probably 2 hours or less. But the point is, for the price I got it £175/£185 whatever the price was I don’t remember exactly right now, for that price I’m happy that the computer even works. It’s March 2024 and it’s still working. Let’s see how long it lasts.
For light users who has access to a charging point if needed it’s a very good deal.

After using this now for a few weeks I have to say for the price I’m well impressed. It looks good, the performance is great with startup/shut down fast. The touch pad is very responsive, screen resolution is great. The battery will only last a couple of hours without needing charged so if using for more than just browsing or watching a film then you would need to take that into account. I used it to Skype friends down south on Saturday just kept it plugged in with no issues of overheating whatsoever (we were on it for 5hrs). Bought a USB dvd player and it picked it up no issues at all. Bluetooth connected to alexa without any issues. The sound is maybe a tad on the low side but I’ll be buying a Bluetooth speaker to connect to it. All in all really happy with it and looking forward to taking it on hols so we can watch a few films at night.

i’ve had this laptop for a couple of days not but i have worked it to it’s limits in that time. Firstly the laptop, for the price, is excellent value for money. It starts up quickly and the home screen is visible in seconds, the graphics quality for a laptop of this price is also excellent. So far i’ve streamed Now TV, YouTube and BBC iPlayer without any freezes, distortion or buffering. The keyboard is of an American layout however the only symbols out of place are the @ and ” keys which are the opposite way around. An overlay keyboard is supplied to compensate for this. the touchpad isn’t over sensitive thus avoiding accidental “clicks” and is very responsive. The only downside i can find to this laptop is the volume on full is quite low and tinny and i’ve compensated for this by connecting an external bluetooth speaker. There is also a port to use a wired speaker if that is your preference. All in all, a decent laptop at a very good price.

High speed, smooth screen, the quality of sound is also not bad. I only use it for watching tv and go on YouTube. It doesn’t cost too much but it basically has got every function that you need. I’ve had this laptop for 4 months I brought it in February and its now June, the bottom constantly pops of at the corners and I had to replace a screw. And now the screen won’t even turn. Im disgusted with this. I use it for work and now I have nothing to use and have to fork out for a new laptop not happy at all

Go to end for my upgrade journey/instructions.
I used hardware programs to analyze this notebook, it indeed has the advertised hardware (celeron processor, SSD, usb 3.0 etcetera) and it runs very well, about as fast as a top of the line PC from 5 years ago, which is the technology of the processor. I also found out that the Intel J4105 chip this has uses only 2 watts of power at idle, it is so energy-efficient that this laptop has a heat-pipe and needs no fan. It has no moving parts, the heat is brought to the bottom of the case where there does not need to be any vent. After removing the protective plastic on the bottom of the case, I see using hwmonitor that the core temperatures sit at a nice cool-ish 45 degrees centigrade. Since learning this I went and bought an identical laptop to this for my spouse to have.
I chose a relatively small SSD as it is replaceable, and my plan is to eventually replace it with a large name brand SSD. The included SSD comes up with the model name EEA 256GB SSD which doesn’t seem to match any name brand I know, and that is why I will eventually replace it.
The price/quality ratio is amazing. I hope that parts that might wear such as the keyboard, USB ports etc last a long time. Screen resolution looks amazing. I am quite happy with this device.
How I upgraded the SSD. I bought a good quality 2 Terabyte (WD blue) “M.2 2280 Sata SSD.” 22×80 is the dimensions. Taking 2 screws off the back to open the little hatch and one screw releases the old one. Be careful, the label is on the chip side of the old one, they go chip-side down. It re-installed from a flash drive finding the OEM license key automatically. Then it was hard to find drivers. Windows doe not have drivers for the audio devices (needed) or chipset (probably good to have). In device manager, show hidden and right click, properties, details, hardware id. This includes two numbers, all have 8086 as the vendor, and the device is the next 4 digit number like 3198 which is the device number of multimedia. Then go to a website like driverpack and enter both numbers, don’t get scammed by a driver site, just get the zip file and check that everything is digitally signed. I got about 10 drivers. Not that it matters, but the drivers are also used for Intel NUC type computers. Now the 2TB SSD runs at 40 degrees C which is cool enough and has a 5 year guarantee.
