After 8 months the laptop stopped working. It turns on but you can’t see the screen. Tried to contact the seller, but had no response. Avoid buying from this seller.

Well I very rarely like negative comments because I really wanted this laptop to be good, but after struggling with a few things (trying to get them to work) i had to send it back the next day and am still awaiting my refund, Was smaller than I thought it would be couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to get the ‘dunction’ keys to work without having to press the ‘FN’ at the same time. Tried everything on HP website, youtube and help sites but nothing. Also no matter what i tried could not get the bluetooth to work at all. It was a renewed laptop so it’s rea;;y hit and miss if they work properly or not and have since gotten a different HP laptop (renewed) which does work perfectly. Just wish they’d hurry up with my refund.
Sorry when I wrote this hadn’t checked but they were getting my refund issued so no worries on that.

Please note this is based upon initial Impressions.
As I write this review on the new laptop I note that the buttons are fairly quite and provide comfortable feedback when they are used, the back light is a nice feature and even though it is a refurbished model all of the symbols look rand new with no fading. The System is fast and reliable owing to the Ram and Memory. The only thing I wish I had reviewed before buying was that the dedicated VRAM is only 128MB’s. This is fine for my purposes but may be importance to those involved in video or animation editing. It also does not have a SD reader but it does have a smart card reader and a SIM reader. The SIM reader can be useful if you are using this laptop for travel.
It turns on quickly, it is able to process my data – RAW Files (mainly) – quickly and the fan doesn’t make too much noise. For what it is I think it’s a great bit of kit, based upon the first few uses.

The laptop would be fantastic if it held a charge. It is smooth, sleek and nice looking, but that is all in vain as it won’t take a charge despite there being a checklist inside the box stating that the battery had been quality checked and was in good working order. Amazon were not helpful either. My first disappointment since 2004 when I first purchased from Amazon. Not sure where to go from here.

Quite a bargain, considering how much this product cost when new. In very good condition, one small mark on edge of lid but the screen is flawless as is the keyboard and casing. I expected 16gb Ram however, when I checked the properties I discovered 20gb Ram on board.
It’s a lot faster than my previous laptop, the screen has a matt finish which is great and easy on the eyes. Battery life seems very good, I had my old one plugged in all the time but not this one, I am using the battery with confidence and it’s very quiet, even the keypad is not clicking, much to my wife’s satisfaction.
Going down the refurb route is something I have done before and well worth it as I have got a good, solid and speedy unit at a ridiculous bargain price. It’s super light in weight, too. The laptop arrived within time and wrapped in an excellent air-cushioned package.
Well worth a punt if you want a touch of quality for a relatively small outlay. It won’t be for your gamer type, I am a graphic designer and photo manipulator and this model fits the brief.
