I bought February 2021. Various issues including having to get a replacement charger, but eventually working. Looks and feels nice, but gets very very hot, burning skin. By June 2023 the screen was regularly overheating and turning off, needing to reboot PC, and several keys near the charging port starting not to work. I gave up a few days ago and got a cheap £300 laptop that at least does not burn me!

As a gaming laptop this is a great machine but the whole experience has left me somewhat underwhelmed.
The laptop comes in a very nice box but when you open it you are met with a plastic shroud around laptop , a very small setup leaflet and a declaration of conformity . Thats it ,no user guide ,no certificate, no thanks for purchasing a laptop from us for £1300 . When you buy a premium product from most outlets the packaging and documentation make you feel that your money has been well spent. To add insult a code was sent to me to download Rainbow six siege which when I tried to redeem was informed it was out of date. All in all the experience of purchasing this laptop was poor and I think HP need to rethink their strategy with regards to the whole experience. This in no way is a reflection on the laptop as it appears very well made and specifications are good .

This laptop is great for multi tasking great for gaming I love it only problem is battery life even in battery saver mode lookijg at 2 hours maximum (although maybe I have too many items open which I will check) I would wholly recommend if you need aulto propose laptop with lots of ports and more power than you need for most things (pretty much for high end gaming too)

Didn’t get a delivery date for a few weeks. Once I did it came 3 days earlier than expected. It will run any game with the RTX 2060 great speed for downloads as well.only a minor issues I’ve noticed. I added an extra 2 tb hard drive once you put the back on again it dont sit right on the right hand side saw a few videos also saying this. The laptop does get very hot so would advise putting it on your lap

We bought it from Amazon warehouse that it has only some cosmetics scratches. Picture didn’t respond to actual product-that was still ok but battery life was crap it hold only for 3 hours just to be in windows. The charger looks like it has something behind and in the end we found that is even wrong type of charger! So we wanted to get new / correct charger but it’s not possible so we must return the whole thing and pay for the postage! Even the performance wasn’t as should be so we’re very disappointed!

This is the first Gaming computer I have owned. I have been on console for over 15 years but decided to make the jump. I am sure there are more powerful machines out there and you could customise a new one from a specialist company. But I gaming computers are so complicated I would not know what I was doing. This laptop is simple, it works perfectly from the moment I turned it on. Easy to set up, and easy to manage. It has played everything I have loaded onto it with ease. 1 possible issue is the transformer on the power cable gets hot, very hot not sure if that is normal or not.

I normally don’t do reviews but this laptop deserves one:
Pros: good hardware spec, i7-10750H, and RTX 2060 for the price, excellent build quality!! decent screen.
Cons: Overheating CPU Thermal throttling, the factory thermal paste application is very poor if you have some basic experience in disassembling laptops you should re-paste the CPU and GPU with better quality thermal paste” and that should fix the overheating issue.

I am not a very techie person so I can’t write one of those clever reviews about its technical properties. But I can say is that I love the beautiful clear images I get on the screen. So easy to see and, now I am getting used to it, I find it easy to use. I am still learning what it can do. My last laptop was 10 years old (hence the replacement) and I am finding this can do stuff I haven’t done before. It is very responsive and I need to get used to this and I know it will be great for playing active games. I do love playing computer games and that is one reason I chose this computer. I have only played simple games so far, so I can’t say how it is with the ones full of action. I think I need to find out which is the best to try first – perhaps the one you can download for free after buying this machine would be a start.

Plays the most recent games ie modern warfare and MS Flight Sim on hight to ultra without any problems. Super quick load times with the SSD. Build quality seems very good.
Battery life is poor you’ll be lucky to game on this for any more than an hour before needing to plug in but this is to be expected from a gaming laptop.
A cooling pad is a must for this laptop. I was regularly getting CPU temps into the mid 90s. I contacted HP support regarding this and the guided me through a BIOS update. This Combined with the cooling pad brings the temp doen to the low 80s. If you put the laptops fans onto max it will drop further.
Overy all I’m very happy with this laptop.
