I purchased this laptop on sale for just over £1000, which for the specs (3070ti 6800h is very good.
The laptop has very good build quality, and the performance is great. Some minor issues are that the fan is always audible and gets very loud during intensive gaming. There is also no windows hello login and it would have been better to have a 16:10 display as the chin is quite large.
Overall happy with the laptop and would recommend as long as it’s on a sale, otherwise there are better options.

When I first received the laptop I was plagued with stutters and freezing when doing simple tasks such as opening ms edge and was fully prepared to return the laptop.
However After some research turned out that at the time of purchase a few months ago the latest bios update f.20 was the source of my issues and hiding tpm in my bios settings have solved all my issues as I wait for a new bios version to address this problem.
Besides the above issues I’m very happy with the laptop I would also recommend anyone with a 5800h based laptop to look into turning off boost clocks via windows power options as this also solves any high temps for little to no gaming performance loss.

only the screen (which looks great btw) has some slight colour balance issues, everything else is top, from the mux switch to the amazing performance throughout all tasks with the 12700h and in games with the full tdp 3070ti, to on the whole rather quiet fans, and all this at a great price, can only recommend

The spec of this laptop, despite the age, is very good. The price reflects the time this laptop has been on sale, but the 12th gen i7 and excellent Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070ti are easily capable of running all the most modern games. You might like to down down some quality settings if you’re playing at the native resolution of 2560×1440.
Once all the bloatware and all Windows and app updates are applied, this is a very snappy laptop. The trackpad is large and feels responsive, and the keyboard is a generous size. You sacrifice a number pad, which is a little strange for the size of the laptop, but the backlit keys (4-zone) make it easy to use in all conditions.
There is a big but with the laptop, however. I’m not sure why, but the warranty is showing as having been activated in January 2023. It has therefore expired as of March 2024 (2 months before I bought it). This rings alarm bells for me. Everything looks new and unopened, but this would indicate the laptop has previously been used. I’m not prepared to have any laptop costing this amount without any warranty, let alone a 1-year only warranty. So it is being returned

love hp laptops and especially omen but these are not right i use my laptops mainly on USB dacs PS even my cheap basic hp laptop has no issue. both the original and the replacement where delivered on time. I set them up. installed only the media on the 2nd one just and only using one dac, as the 1st one even after reset it it would not play hi res file either streaming media player or 3rd party media player with out pop and glitching the warranty was with amazon as they expired on hp suppose new but new old stock so get no support from hp but do have amazon warranty so yes save a lot of money but to me I believe they are a faulty batch
both have been sent back not very happy as paid in full and was out my bank within a minute now i am told may have wait up to 30 days to get a refund feel amazon should make it clear that this are old stock or b grades as the have been returned to hp in the first place. the warranty on this was started in Jan 2023 very misleading add these are nothing more than re boxed refurbished laptops

Using this laptop for about 6 months now and I have no problems with it no crashes no software issues or anything which I have seen people complaining about. I have been gaming on it and the heating is an issue only if you have the processor boost enabled if u disable it then the max temps ive seen is 75C .
