4.0 out of 5 stars Ports – make sure you don’t need these…
I purchased this as a replacement for my current desktop machine. The laptop, for the 1hr I had it, performed well. The keyboard is a bit “plasticky” for me, but usable. It came with Windows 11 pre-installed (Windows 11 is a lot less user-flexible compared to Windows 10, and I prefer to have more control over my setup, but that’s just a Microsoft Windows gripe, nothing to do with the pc)
My main gripe is that I didn’t check properly the port availability before I purchased this.
1) There’s no Ethernet port, so it can only connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth (via a mobile or tablet hotspot).
2) Whilst I could connect a single additional monitor via the onboard HDMI port, I have a multi-screen setup, patched through a USB-C hub. However, the USB-C port on the laptop does not allow video output, or Ethernet traffic.
These two were showstoppers for me.
In conclusion, this’ll be perfect for just going about as an entry level laptop, but if you need additional connectivity, this may not be for you; it certainly wasn’t for me; I returned it same day that I received it…

4.0 out of 5 stars Don’t expect any gaming experiences alongside with multi tasking for your work or studies.
i bought this laptop once and i was using it for school and gaming (only valorant) and this laptop couldnt do both. Maybe it was only the one i got but when i run Word with Chrome or Edge, its fans are making a lot of noise. Also, whenever i scrolled on my document, bottom part of the laptop would start flickering in black and its disturbing as you imagine. build quality is average. screen is NOT OK. even if you look straight to the screen with proper angle, sides are getting blurry because of the screen used on this laptop.
Do not expect any good gaming experience. I tried playing Minecraft, Valorant, Roblox and bluestack for emulating mobile games. It is bad. All the settings were at lowest but still getting over 60 fps was impossible with this laptop. AS I SAID BEFORE, MAYBE THE ONE I HAD THESE ISSUES, but it was a bad experience. If your budget is not high as mine and could only afford laptops at this price, use it to get refurbished but good quality laptops, which is what i did. i hope it was helpful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very fast startup
Bought to replace an 8 year old Windows 10 laptop that was painfully slow to start up and was not worth upgrading. This laptop is almost ready to go instantly you switch on and was very easy to set up and transfer data from the old laptop. The battery life seems good and it charges a lot quicker than the old one. First time I have had an Asus computer and so far I am very pleased with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very quick computer
Bought to replace old HP and it’s very quick compared with the outdated HP. I don’t play games or watch TV on it, so can’t comment. It’s perfect for what I want.

5.0 out of 5 stars Its what’s inside that counts……
The laptop at £429 with an I7 10th gen (we are on 12th/13 gen now btw) 8gb ram and 512gb SSD is a fairly good deal that you would struggle to beat. The only draw backs I have found is it the build quality isn’t great. Lemme explain, there is no physical damage, but the overall laptop chassis is a very cheap feeling plastic which will strain and creek if not supported and is definitely not great if you want something rugged. The trackpad and keys do the job but feel tacky but coupled with wireless peripherals and a decent monitor it will make a future proofed cheap workstation with the powerful processor. Whatever you do try and get at least an I5 even if you’re on a budget. DONT TOUCH AN I3 or lower if you can and try not to get over 5 gens out of date. Edit: so far so good only downside is battery last for about 3 hours so needs plugging in semi permanently.

1.0 out of 5 stars Slow and often lags
Have had this laptop for over a year. Has always lagged. I’m listening to music on YouTube with one other tab open and it’s crackling constantly. It can’t seem to handle anything other than one browser window open. Cheap, dissapointing, overpriced product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price
For the price this laptop is good, nice display and good performance.
The web cam not the best quality for teams/zoom calls but good enough
Seems well made and doesn’t feel cheap like some in the same price range
Overall very pleased with it

4.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy equipment, good for price
The media could not be loaded. I got the 500gb with i7 and 8 gb ram. So far so good. I’ve only used it for writing on obsidian and youtube so haven’t done any heavy work. Battery life with multiple applications(2 for this example) is 3-4 hrs which is a lot better than my last laptop. If you’re looking for a laptop for daily use either at work or at school this one is ideal with more than enoug storage. My only concern with this level of usage is how easily it smudges and how quickly it heats up. I’ve started disconnecting it when battery is fully charged to minimise long term battery or hardware damage and have been using the laptop on a portable bed table to avoid clogging up the fan from day 1 but unless only one app is open it still heats up fast. I’m hoping I’m just overreacting and this is a normal temperature for the laptop.
I’m not sure how good it is for gaming as I mainly game on my phone or ipad so I’ll update this review later if I notice anything.
I briefly tested the camera and I’d say its adequate for work meetings, nothing bad or exemplary about it.
Overall its a good laptop, would recommend if a friend is looking for one in this price range

5.0 out of 5 stars Great screen, excellent speed.
I bought this laptop to replace a 6 year old laptop & I was expecting it to be faster but it’s almost instant. Good value, enough storage space & very clear screen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seems to do what it’s description suggests.
Part of the reason for the downgrade, to 4 stars rather than 5, is that this is described as a laptop with windows 11 installed. It is not !!!! It is windows ready.
Before I could install windows 11, the laptop had to download and install every conceivable update for windows 10, which was installed.
After all that, process was easy. I haven’t been able to pin down what is different about the keyboard, yet, to my Dell Latitude, but something definitely is. Possible the size of the keys.
Accepted my “one Drive” download perfectly, and my “Google” Cloud download also. Does seem to be fast.
I have not rated battery life yet, as that seems a little unfair, and I do not game, so cannot comment. However, so far seems excellent value for money, at the price that I paid with the Prime discount.
Sept update. I have now been using this laptop, on the road, for over a week. I am now used to the keyboard, and it is fine. The speed and colour clarity is amazing. Good battery life, at laest compared to my old Dell, and the charging time is fast !! Overall an excellent buy.
