Don’t buy
I’ve never wrote a review but I needed to for this product. This laptop is terrible, very slow, bad battery life, and not easy to use. On paper the specs look good, but it doesn’t perform. Make sure to spend more money on a reliable device like a MacBook

Be aware you don’t know what model laptop you’re getting! I was provided with a HP laptop model 15s-fq0501sa. Which although was to the specification as advertised, you can currently pick up at Curry’s UK for less than half the price (plus a small amount at most for the RAM & SSD).

Laptop was fine first few days and then black screen after automatic update. Dead and did not start again after that. Wonder if upgraded memory parts (16GB) are genuine HP. Have returned to supplier and been chasing to get refund. Frustrating…

HP products are good, they are reliable, hence the reason i always buy them – however the marketing info is confusing.
The spec on amazon has the following
Processor Speed (up to): 2.4 gigahertz ……… this laptop is 1.1GHz why state up to, you don’t get an option to get 2.4GHZ?
Hard Drive: Up to 1TB Solid State Drive ……… the amazon specification states 1TB hard drive i got 512GB the main headline HDD size (i was expecting this size).
The main selling headline is 512GB HDD, spec states UP TO 1TB and so on.
I contacted them to clarify what i was getting if i ordered the laptop – no response.
Note — Cross check all the details before buying and try to confirm what the actual spec of the laptop is – the is UP TO nonsense which is a marketing ploy to get you to order.

LAPTOP SEEMS TO RUN OK taken ages to get rid off all the unwanted stuff /programs. HP have really cut back on outlets only 2 USBs right close together so you cannot use a wider memory stick and a standard usb at the same time to close together, the on off switch is really small and does not light up, does not have an ethernet port or cd player , the C usb i dont need so bought an adapter to make it usable, plus bought an ethernet adapter, the Wifi 6 seems good. Arrived quickly from Amazon with security key for driver.

Paid £499 for this laptop but the one delivered was worth £150 at best, probably less…
The specs on the delivered laptop were very different…. barely functional!
We arranged for Amazon to collect it (we have proof of this) and bought another Laptop from another Amazon vendor but we still have not received any refund or even any communication about this over a month later!
